Umbau Max-Planck-Straße 23 geht voran - zusätzlicher Platz für die Kita
Das Gebäude des ehemaligen Chat Noir in der Max-Planck-Straße 23 wird seit Dezember 2011 seitens der Stadt Trier umgebaut. Die Arbeiten schreiten mit großen Schritten voran. Dem Hauptnutzer, das Montessori-Kinderhaus, steht bald mehr Platz im Erdgeschoss und einer Hälfte des 1. Obergeschosses zur Verfügung. Dort finden ab voraussichtlich Herbst 2012 ein Hort für 20 Grundschulkinder Platz, zwei Krippengruppen für Kleinkinder bis drei Jahre sowie drei Kindergartengruppen Platz. Außerdem können die Kinder künftig den barrierefreien Haupteingang nutzen und auf einem vergrößerten Außengelände spielen. Ergänzt wird die Kita-Nutzung wieder mit verbesserter Raumaufteilung durch das Tanzstudio Patricia Meier. Als weitere Nutzungen werden ein Pflegestützpunkt sowie Büro- und Seminarräume für die Qualifizierungsabteilung des Club Aktiv aufgenommen.

Petrisberg-Entrée is growing!
Since the beginning of september, the construction company Barbian GmbH has been building the barebrick work of the Petrisberg-Entrée. Until now, the construction proceeds according to plan. The finishing of the bottom plates of the first and second construction stages, was followed by the appliance of the ceiling components of the underground car park. The first wall elements of the first construction stage have been applied in the meantime, so as to first floor plans are vaguely perceptible. In parallel, in the background everybody’s working on a perpetual smooth construction progress. Therefore all the technical crafts ( sanitary, heating, ventilation and electric ) have been assigned to exclusively regional, trustworthy and EGP known companies.

St. Martin's move
This past Friday, the 11th of November 2011 numerous people came together for the traditional Petrisberg St. Martin’s procession. The procession started at the “Lottoforum” after the crowd had been singing together and played delightful St. Martin’s games. The move led young and old over the Petrisberg site with their lanterns and ended at the parking lot next to the “Jahreszeiten” restaurant, where the crowd had a chance to relish the display of a large bonfire.
All the kids enjoyed a hot cup of tea and pretzel’s, due to the newspaper “Wochenspiegel”. The move was organized by the cooperation partners St. Augustinus community, Montessori daycare Petrisberg and the day care center St. Augustinus Weidengraben as well as Petrisberg Connect e.V. Thanks to the vigorous support of Petrisberg GmbH, music school Bleser and the voluntary firebrigade Kürenz as well as the restaurant “ Jahreszeiten” and many helping hands of committed employees and members of the cooperation partners was it possible to implement this move.

'Festival of Light' attracts thousands of people to Petrisberg.
This past Saturday, the 17th of September 2011, the first ‘Festival of Light’ at the Petrispark area attracted about 6000 visitors. Hundreds of light-sculptures of different themes, made out of wood and transparent paper, turned the area around the tower of Luxemburg into an enchanted site of lights.
The Petrispark GmbH and the office of culture of Trier by means of a team of volunteers, organized this first ‘Festival of Light’, as well as the shuttle-service offered.

Structural work at Petrisberg-Entrée started!
Construction work at the Petrisberg-Entrée construction site is proceeding: After digging out the pit, the construction firm Barbian GmbH started structural work and is now casting the base plate.

Medical center is expanding!
More and more doctor’s offices have been moving in the new medical center at the Petrisberg. Besides the “Petrisberg pharmacy” and the “Kersting medical supply store” have now moved in: Physical therapy Petrisberg, a doctor’s office for neurosurgery , internal medicine, an orthopedist, a speech therapist as well as a pediatrician and a pediatric cardiologist.

The business park office-villas is almost complete! The final phase of development is in sight.
The development of the business park office-villas is nearing completion, – the concept is a success. The last remaining building lot could be sold in the meantime, construction works in the area adjacent to the WIP Centre will still begin this year. The final phase of development is progressing apace, and in the "Am Wissenschaftspark" street, the last layer of asphalt will be applied in the near future. In parallel, outdoor facilities, pre-zones and parking areas at the Mediaboxes are in the making.

Sommerfest Petrisberg Connect 2011: schön war´s!
Dank des engagierten Organisations-Teams bestehend aus Petrisberg-Bewohnern und unter Federführung des Petrisberg Connect e.V. fand auch in diesem Jahr bei strahlendem Sonnenschein das Sommerfest am Wasserturm statt. Das gut besuchte Fest bot allen Gästen einen entspannten Nachmittag. Die Kleinen hatten beim Schminken und vielen Angeboten der Mobilen Spielaktion Konz e.V. viel Spaß. Für das leibliche Wohl war sehr gut gesorgt und man konnte zwischen Herzhaften und leckeren Kuchen wählen. Für den Kuchen hatte das Montessori-Kinderhaus, wie auch schon im letzten Jahr gesorgt. Es wurde gelacht, miteinander gesprochen und bei einer schönen Stimmung bis in den Abend hinein gefeiert.
